Advertise OSD Task Sequences to “All Systems” Collection!
A simple way to run your OSD against the All System collection is to set the Task Sequence Properties – Advanced – “This task sequence can run only on the specified client platforms” to an operating system that you don’t have in your environment.
In this example I have selected that it can only run on “x64 Windows XP Professional SP1” After that you just create a normal Advertisement to the “All System” but don’t make it mandatory.
What this will do is that the Advertisement will not be show to the user that is logged on to the system for example Windows 7. But when you reboot the client and press F12 you should have the Advertisement available for deployment.
You should of course run this in a test environment before you do anything like this in your production. If you advertise something to All System that really means ALL SYSTEMS
